GANG OF FOUR.
Holy shit. I jumped up and down, I danced probably like a totaly idiot, I shouted/sang along, I embraced relative strangers, I was totally blown away last night at 9:30 Club, seeing the original Entertainment!-era line-up of Gang of Four. It's been a long time since I saw a show that carried me away at such a primal level. Peavey should send Andy Gill unlimited supplies of Classic 50's for life, his guitar tone coming out of 2 of those little amps was so awe-inspiring. Hell, they should get a microwave oven endorsement just so they don't have to keep buying the ones they use as percussion. Hats off to Jon King for playing melodica and tambourine at the same time. Hats off to the 4 of them for rattling my cage in the best possible way.
Now I am even more excited to record some new Channels songs at the end of next week.
