The good times continue. Add Bearsville to the ever-growing list of Studios I Love. Central NY State is too beautiful. Some photos should be forthcoming. Had an amazing week up there with Clutch, didn't want to leave ... though now we're back in the Baltimore/DC metro area (or "Bal-Wash" as it's known to some), comfortably ensconced at Larry Packer's delightful Uncle Punchy studio for overdubs and vocals.
The final stages of work on my own place have slowed down a bit because of the travel, but the control room is up and running and it's pretty much ready to rock ... we just need furniture. Lots of it. The Oranges Band mixes went out to positive response, and I expect to begin the Clutch mix there by the end of the month. I am hoping to squeeze in a bit more Channels recording in the next couple of weekends as well as the finishing touches on the Vic Bondi record.
Also got the final version of the Life and Times mastering from Alan at West West Side and it's fantastic.
Sometimes I wonder if I'm just too positive for the Internet. So much of the www seems to be devoted to pure shit-talking, I wonder if I'm missing the point? But right at the moment, state of the world notwithstanding, I have a lot of reasons to be positive ...
